At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this year, Akon unveiled his ambitious plans for Akoin. Although precise launch details remain under wraps, Akon’s vision ties Akoin closely with his larger initiative: Akon Crypto City.
Describing Akon Crypto City as a tangible “real-life Wakanda,” Akon draws parallels to the Black Panther universe. This city will feature residential zones, educational institutions, recreational spaces, and commercial outlets. Akon imagines a society propelled by Akoin, though he leaves the intricate mechanics to experts, stating, “I present the concepts and let the geeks figure it out.”
